Company

The geospatial lakehouse company.

LakeGeo helps organizations use geospatial data in modern data platforms and AI systems.

Who we are

Built by geospatial practitioners.

LakeGeo advises organizations on GeoAI strategy and builds production geospatial systems. Our work is grounded in LakeGeo Publications, the open architecture library we maintain.

LakeGeo was co-founded by two geospatial practitioners with long histories working at the intersection of spatial data and AI. They founded the company to make production geospatial systems easier to design, govern, and operate inside modern data platforms.

Company principles

What we believe

Geospatial is a workload, not a department

The separation between geospatial work and the rest of data engineering is the main reason Earth observation work fails to reach production. We think the separation is the problem, not the difficulty of the work.

Publishing beats hoarding

LakeGeo Publications are free to read and implement, including by our competitors. Architecture guidance that nobody can inspect cannot become shared practice.

Careers

We are not currently hiring.

We are always interested in hearing from people we may be able to collaborate with or hire in the future. If your work sits at the intersection of geospatial engineering, data platforms, and AI, please introduce yourself.
